Our Autumn seasonal beer dinner comes at you with a bit of a difference…we’re working with OzHarvest to highlight zero waste.
100% of the produce prepared and cooked up on the night will have been saved and rescued from heading to landfill. No, we’re not talking mouldy scraps of leftovers and charging you for the pleasure. Many restaurants over-order with their food requirements and in keeping with a fresh approach to menus, heaps of food simply gets tossed out on a daily basis. We are often guilty of it too. OzHarvest rescues quality surplus food and delivers directly to local vulnerable children, women and men. In Brisbane, OzHarvest collects over 20 tonnes a week!
The menu ingredients will come from OzHarvest’s food supporters, donations from our awesome suppliers and we’ll be saving odds and ends from our very own kitchen that we’d usually chuck out.
Your ticket includes a four course meal accompanied by four beers. One of the beers is a 100% zero waste beer brewed by us which will stay on tap as a karma keg until it blows.
The menu…well, we won’t know what we’ve got to run with until the day before!
100% of ticket sale proceeds on the night will be handed over to OzHarvest to help them continue the zero waste battle.
