Well, we made it. Five years young. And we're celebrating in the way we know best - beer. Three of them!
Well, we made it. Five years young. And we’re celebrating in the way we know best – beer. Three of them!
We’re fortunate enough to be part of a unique trifecta in Brisbane’s burgeoning craft beer community. We celebrate our fifth birthday with the legends at Brewski and The Mill on Constance. So, we each brewed a beer at Doggett Street, canned ’em, boxed ’em (in a fancy box) and threw in a special glass for good measure.
Three venues. Three beers. One birthday.
From the 24th November 2018, you’ll find these limited edition rarities at the following good beer outlets:
Newstead Brewing Co (Doggett Street)
Newstead Brewing Co (Castlemaine Street)
The Mill on Constance (Fortitude Valley)
Brewski (Caxton Street)
…and then at these equally rad places from Monday 26th November:
Cellarbrations (Bowen Hills)
Cellarbrations (Yandina Hotel)
Cellarbrations (Wises Road, Buderim)
The Wine Emporium (Newstead)
Three Little Pigs Tavern (Stafford)
Black Sheep (The Gap)
Black Sheep (St Lucia)
Black Sheep (Newmarket)
Black Sheep (Everton Hills)
Valley Wine Shop (Fortitude Valley)
V – Brewski | Ruby Grapefruit Grisette | 4.5% | IBU 15
Sharp and fruity, what a perfect beer to encapsulate Brewski. The zesty tang of ruby grapefruit highlights the aromatic hops and farmhouse yeast, garnering a fizz whizz of flavours. Brash on the outside, with a touch of sophistication and plenty of loving guts, it’s a beer to enjoy in the warmth of a Brisbane summer, as the rumble of skateboards slide by.
V – The Mill | Turkish Delight Dark Ale | 5.5% | IBU 20
Like the Mill itself, this nutter is dark on the inside but has come up smelling of roses. A velvety texture and milk chocolate flavour are juxtaposed by a floral aroma and sweet finish. A seductive beer dessert, rich, silky and full of flavour. Blowing the preconceptions of being a sipper, this dark ale is a smasher, just like The Mill.
V – Newstead | Spiced Double Red | 7.5% | IBU 65
Conservatism and experimentation, the enigma of Newstead is on show in this spiced Double Red. Our favourite malts with our favourite hops, accentuated with subtle spices and neutral yeast. It’s a little bit of everything balanced but full of flavour. We’ve captured that feeling of trying to blow out sparklers, or slapping your jaw with the string from a party hat as we celebrate our fifth year of livingness.
