A hop harvest occurs just once a year. It’s at this point that Brewers froth at the opportunity to brew beer utilising fresher than fresh hop cones straight from the bine. There’s a window of opportunity of no more than 72 hours before the cones oxidise.
This year we brewed two wet hopped beers – The Mayne Harvest golden ale and 21 Feet of Harvest porter. Both will be tapped simultaneously at the brewery on Friday 8th April as we go fresh crazy.
Not only will we be tapping The Mayne Harvest and 21 Feet of Harvest at the same time, we’ll also be tapping a number of wet hopped beers from other breweries too. Details to be confirmed in due course but think ‘fresh’
Plus, we’ll be laying on a $10 chefs lunch special incorporating fresh (sourced on the day), locally acquired ingredients.
It’s going to be fresh. Come down, get fresh with us.
